This tour will be led by Gerald Blunt who has worked in the Wellington urban design scene for that last 25 years. The tour will explore Wellington’s central city public realm and contemplate the tensions between place and movement. Which should take primacy? The route will be dependent on weather, but will cover off parts of the waterfront and central city streets and lanes.
2. Walking: Stunning Street Art Tour - featuring work by Mana Whenua partners
Join us for a walking tour of Te Whanganui a Tara showcasing some of our city's most captivating street art pieces. This tour will immerse you in the vibrant world of urban art, offering insights from some of the talented artists themselves.
3. Bus: Te Ara Tupua trip
On this tour, participants will visit Mā-koromiko, the completed section of Tupua Horo Nuku. Next stop will be the Tāwharau pods in Honiana Te Puni Reserve, the gateway to Te Ara Tupua, to talk with Alliance staff about various aspects of the project (engineering, design, user experience, cultural, ecological, etc) and see models and more visuals of the project.
